NTPC Raipur joined today in celebrating the 48th Raising Day with great fervour and enthusiasm. Shri A.K Tripathi, RED(West II & OS) unfurled the NTPC Flag followed by his address. He spoke about the achievements of NTPC since 1975 and also highlighted the performance of WR II Stations.

In his statement he also shared the contributions of different factions like OS, CPG-1, USSC and Station Engg which are currently based at Raipur. The OS Group have provided tremendous support in strengthening the performance of the stations. The USSC group have streamlined the awarding of bulk contracts and the presence of Station Engg have made accessible solutions at the stations itself. This was followed by the cake cutting ceremony and the release of balloons to mark the occasion.

In the evening a grand cultural evening was organised at Central Park which saw stellar performance by renowned Odissi exponent Shri Saswat Joshi and his troupe. Shri A.K Tripathy felicitated Shri Saswat Joshi and Shri Gautam Dasgupta. The achievers in the Compendium of Achievers announced by Hon’ble CMD on Raising Day from WR II Region were also felicitated by Shri A. K Tripathy. The cultural evening saw varied dance performance from different parts of the country like Chhau, Sambalpuri, Natua, Bhangra, Rajasthani etc. The dance performances enthralled the audience.
